Ghost Barber Club ("we", "us") runs a barbershop in Nottingham and this booking system at ghost.swmc.co.uk. This page explains what personal information we collect through the site, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Your name, email address and phone number, when you create an account or book an appointment.
• A child's name and date of birth, if you book a children's service on their behalf.
• Your booking history: services, barbers, times, prices, and whether an appointment was kept, cancelled or missed.
• Payment information needed to charge a card — this is handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Account credit balance, where a cancellation or overpayment has been credited to your account.
• If you sign in with Google or Apple, the name and email address they share with us.
• Basic technical data (like IP address and browser type) generated by using the site, for security and fault-finding.

What we use it for

• Taking and managing bookings, and letting you view, finish or cancel them.
• Sending booking-related emails: confirmations, reminders, payment requests, and receipts.
• Processing payments, deposits, refund-as-credit, and no-show or late-cancellation fees.
• Keeping the records a business is legally required to keep, including for accounting and tax purposes.
• Improving and securing the booking system itself.

Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary to run the service: your payment details with Stripe to take payment; your email address with our email delivery service to send you booking messages; and, if you choose to sign in that way, authentication details with Google or Apple. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep account and booking records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as we're required to for accounting, tax and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; we'll remove what we're not obliged to keep.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us at the address below. If you registered by email and password, you can also update most of your own details from your account page.

Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing, never in plain text. The site is served entirely over HTTPS, and card payments are handled by Stripe's own secure systems — your card details never pass through our servers.
